Walker Cotter Safety offer a range of CDM related services including Principal Designer and CDM Advisor supporting a range of clients and Designers, providing high quality, focused H&S advice and assistance.
We have developed standard systems including documentation, reports, processes and procedures to ensure duty holders comply with the requirements of CDM15. They work on a wide range of projects including national roll-out retail refurbishments, multi million pound infrastructure schemes, complex housing projects (private and social), education, healthcare, and sports stadia.
We undertake the role of consultant and advisor to many contractors and design practices. This role includes the provision of risk assessments, method statements, Construction Phase Plans, fire plans etc. in addition to tool box talks and topic specific training. We offer a 24/7 safety helpline proving sensible health and safety advice and direction.
We undertake construction site audits on behalf of clients and principal contractors providing a range of reports depending on the client’s requirements.
H&S and Statutory Compliance Audits
Combining their knowledge and experience of health and safety and facilities management they are appointed to undertake audits of major PFI and LIFT schemes on behalf of the private finance partners or SPV’s. This involves completing an on-site audit of the health and safety policies and procedures of the principal sub-contractors and checking the fulfilment of their statutory compliance obligations. A full detailed report is prepared for the Board that includes recommendations and time-scales for implementation. These occur over a wide range of projects including healthcare, education and leisure.
