Walker Cotter Limited was formed out of the amalgamation of Walker Cotter Partnership and Walker Cotter Projects Ltd. Walker Cotter Partnership, the Quantity Surveying Division, was founded in 1977 and Walker Cotter Projects Ltd, the Design & Build / Project Management Division, was formed in 1991.

In the initial years social housing was the main basis for the growth of the practice. However, the operating area of the practice has also developed into the commercial and industrial sectors and particularly leisure, retail and other related activities while continuing the original strong background in housing which has been maintained for the last 25 years.

An office is Southampton was opened in 2001 and has thrived since it’s opening offering all of the services its sister company in Birmingham offers. This operates in Southampton as a separate Limited Liability company.
