The Barracuda Group was set up in 2000 with 35 sites, and has since become the fastest growing national managed pub company in the UK. It operates bars across England, Scotland and Wales, under trading formats Smith & Jones, Varsity, Barracuda Bars, Juniper and Cape.
Barracudas rapid growth, emphasis on quality and significant future expansion plans have helped it to become one of the top 10 largest managed pub companies in the country.
We were invited to submit a quotation to provide helpdesk and cost management services, following recommendations to Barracuda of our services.
Following our appointment our dedicated surveyors have worked closely with the Barracuda Property team to understand the contractor base, competitively tender areas that Barracuda felt were under achieving, and appoint contractors on 2 year contract to help totally transform the reactive and planned contractor data base.
All the Planned Service visits are now proactively managed to ensure all legal requirements for all sites are achieved, with records and control of all certificates.
Our helpdesk role as extended to provide Barracuda with a quote process that allows us to obtain 2nd and 3rd quotes to ensure that all works carried out over set budget restraints are done so to achieve value for money.
We have developed and issue weekly reports to reflect and ensure orders issued by the helpdesk are done so in strict accordance with Barracudas requirements.
The flexibility of the process has enabled us to cope with the increase in properties and orders as the estate has grown from 170 at our appointment to over 220 today
