Paul has been with Walker Cotter since he left Nottingham Trent University in 1997 where he trained in Building Studies.
Paul started out specialising in health and safety and the role of CDM Coordinator and manages a team of safety consultants in Walker Cotter Safety Limited.
Paul worked his way through the company whilst attaining his health and safety qualifications en route. He was made Associate in 2001, Director in 2002 and was part of the management buyout team that formed the Tetra Group in 2007.
Paul also has an overarching responsibility in the facilities management business AMPM. This includes client liaison, strategy and innovation development, implementation of IT systems and general day to day overseeing of the management team.
Simon has been with Walker Cotter since 1995 having previously worked for Bridgewater & Coulton and EC Harris. Simon attended Wolverhampton University on a day release basis where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Quantity Surveying. Simon is also a Fellow of the Faculty of the Built Environment (formerly The Faculty of Building) and a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Simon's involvement with Walker Cotter dates back as far as the early 1980's when school holidays were spent working at Walker Cotter; Simon's father being one of the founding partners of the practice in 1977.
Simon's speciality is Quantity Surveying and Project Management and he is vastly experienced in these disciplines specialising in Leisure and Retail Sectors.
Simon was made a Director in 2005 and was part of the management buyout team that formed Tetra Group in 2007.
Alan has over 40 years experience in the construction industry, all of which has been in the private, professional sector. He started work at F C Graves and Partners in the summer of 1967, in the heady days of the ‘swinging sixties' and was involved in some very prestigious midlands based projects including the National Exhibition Centre. He left F C Graves and Partners in 1978 to gain a wider breadth of experience in the industry and this included a six month secondment to a large sugar producing complex in the Ivory Coast, West Africa to assist the QS team there.
He joined Walker Cotter in April 1986 where he developed his skills in negotiating final accounts and contractor's claims. In 1991 he headed up the newly formed Walker Cotter Projects Ltd which was created to expand the trend towards Design and Build procurement.
In May 1997 Alan was promoted to Associate and in May 2002 he became a full member of the Board of Directors.
During his career Alan has gained experience in a wide variety of projects including social housing, hospitals, factories, warehouses, cattle markets, exhibition centres, offices, schools, public houses, hotels and restaurants and has developed skills in cost planning, measurement, pricing, procurement, contract administration, project management, claims and partnering.
Over the last 17 years Alan has become more and more involved in the social housing sector and has been instrumental in expanding this area of the business within the Group.
Alan was one of the four directors who was part of the management buyout in July 2007 and is very much looking forward to the challenge of driving the business forward.
Nick has been with Walker Cotter since 1998. Before then he worked for a Contractor for 4 years after obtaining his Degree in Quantity Surveying in Birmingham.
Nick's speciality is Quantity Surveying and he worked in the Birmingham office for a few years before opening the Southampton office in 2001, where he manages a team of Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers.
Nick worked his way through the company and having been appointed as a Director in 2000, was part of the management buyout team that formed the Tetra Group in 2007.
Andy has over 25 years experience in the construction industry; he started work in 1983 as a Contractor's Trainee Quantity Surveyor gaining experience on a wide range of construction projects performing roles from office duties to estimating, general surveying and contract management.
Prior to joining AMPM in 2000 Andy was Service / Contracts Manager for a National Maintenance Contractor, a position he held for over 3 years.
After joining AMPM in a Senior Management role he was appointed a Director in 2007, and heads up AMPM managing a team of 21 Surveyors and Helpdesk staff.
Andy takes an active and hands on approach to the business function role of AMPM, ensuring that the service we provide is continually monitored and enhanced to ensure AMPM retains a cutting edge in FM
